This is my personal portfolio. It has no accounts, no newsletter, no forms and no ads, so it handles very little personal data. This page explains exactly what, why, and what you can do about it.

What this site collects
Visit statistics (only if you accept)
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to count visits: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and the page you came from. Nothing is collected if you click Reject or ignore the banner.
I use these numbers only in aggregate, to see which pages are useful. Legal basis: your consent. Google keeps the statistics for no more than 14 months and may process them in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. More in Google’s privacy policy.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Technical and security data
Like any website, the server that hosts this site (Aruba S.p.A., Italy) records basic technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser used. A security plugin also uses IP addresses to block attacks. This is needed to keep the site working and safe (legitimate interest) and is kept only for a limited time.
If you contact me
If you write to me by email or on LinkedIn, I use what you send only to reply and to continue the conversation, and I keep it only as long as that is useful. I never share it or add you to any list.
Content loaded from other services
- On Publications, your browser loads my publication list directly from ORCID and OpenAlex.
- On Beyond the code, your browser loads my trips and photos directly from Komoot.
- These services receive your IP address, as any website you visit would. Links to other sites (LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Scholar and others) follow those sites’ own policies.

WordPress may also set a technical cookie to remember the language you are reading in. Technical storage does not need consent. You can delete all of it from your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, to receive a copy, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to gabriela@bosetti.dev and I will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
